Finally done with this, and posting it~
This is my latest project in Design for Illustration, which is a series that builds upon itself in the first four panels. Of course, we were given a word to use as a catalyst, my word was Speed. Now the first thing I thought of was yanno.. cars, motorcycles, etc. but seeing as how I can't draw any of those things, I decided that Tobi would be a good candidate for the word Speed. I mean, cheetahs are the fastest land mammals on earth, so it works out.

She gave us a month to work on this project, which I'm kind of glad for because the large illustration of Tobi was at 300dpi and we all know that my computer dies hardcore if the dpi is above 72. Uuuuuuuuugh. But somehow the poor thing lived through it and let me complete all of these at 300dpi, of course, there was the ranting and raving and frustration. While I was doing this series I kind of added a theme to it, which is a bit obvious... sorta. Tobi is a sun-based demon, and so I figured it would be interesting to see him interacting or showing his connection to said celestial body. So each panel is a progression of him "chasing" the Sun and playing with its energy. The only thing I am displeased with is his front leg that's up in the air. I drew the wrist joint too high so it looks awkward, bah. :\ Too late to change it though because this is due at 8am today lawl. All other things aside, this is something I feel is a good addition to my portfolio. Ah loves mah Tobi~ ; u ;
