It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Musing from the Desi

As I'm sure some of you may have noticed... okay maybe none of you noticed, I'm in a semi-hiatus status.
My computer has been down since finals in December and I've been home using my mom's laptop. I recently installed Photoshop CS2 and my tablet drivers on it, however, I've not been able to hook up my new scanner to it. I probably won't be doing that for another few days because I'm moving back to school Monday. Hopefully I'll be moving Monday if the snow doesn't get too bad. @__@

Anyway, I should also be doing shipping of print orders for those waiting and I apologize for the horrendous amount of time its taken to get those to you guys. x.x I just got a small amount deposited into my account that will allow me to do shipping. I can't offer new commissions until the laptop is completely set up with the scanner, all my art programs, and all my data is off the other computer. Which could be anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks for all that uuuuuuuuugh.

For people waiting on commissions from me, you won't have to wait much longer! Your pieces are just a matter of scanning and cleaning up!

I just don't feel I should take on new commissions until I get the laptop set up with all the programs I need with all of my personal textures and brushes in Photoshop. Its hard to work without them honestly. And also finishing the ones that are waiting, naturally. :C Aside from that I'm thinking do doodling up some new adoptables in a bit, they've been gnawing at my brain and I find them to be too cute not to make. I might even offer customs of them if they go over well enough. They'll be available on FA first and I'll see about putting them on dA if there's an interest~
